Born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico and South Florida, Lourdes attended Florida Atlantic University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance. Her career in finance and accounting roles include investment performance analysis and reporting, as well as payroll and business accounting roles. Lourdes is able to explain financial concepts to others in tems they can understand. She does this through researching and demonstrating new or better ways to make financial tasks easier. Her innate ability to seek out and implement more efficient methods enables her to work more productively.
With the gift of being bilingual, Lourdes uses her skills both professionally and in her volunteer positions to improve communication for native Spanish speakers both in local schools and through her local church community. In her free time, Lourdes dabbles in culinary expeditions with curry and acting as sous chef to her young son. She enjoys visiting the beach with her family to recharge and renew. Lourdes also reinvents furniture, through restoration and creative design processes, because everything deserves a second or third chance.
